Does it feel nearly impossible to keep up with the ever changing demands of raising your child without loosing yourself in the process? Whether you are a first time parent dealing with toddler tantrums, or a more seasoned mother/father managing teenage angsty emotions, parenting is hands down the most challenging AND most important role of all.
Therapy provides an opportunity to explore different parts of yourself, notice your triggers, identify generational patterns and create more understanding around your individual pain points. I offer a safe, compassionate, inclusive, non-judgmental space for you to be seen and understood with your own history that may be getting in the way of being the parent you want to be. My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm and strength-based.
I use a variety of body/mind strategies and incorporate mindfulness, emotion regulation, and self-compassion into our sessions. I also use other evidence based practices such as CBT and DBT for actionable, practical tools. actionable, practical tools.
